Interesting passage to the fort with an brilliant look-out to the little St. Bernhard. Actually, we went camp in the fort, but a thunderstorm threw us a monkey wrench in our plans.

One of the many old border forts which we caught sight of on our tour. The effort to built such buildings in this afield and difficult to acess areas is nearly inconceivable.

The twisting road to the Colle delle Finestre with a panoramic view. Anyhow, the dog was more interested in us or probably rather for the salami, which we had with us for meal! :-)

The curves were just not up to Bea´s banking... self the Africa Twin-driver in the background was impressed... ;-)

Packing volume successfully compressed... in fact double-sided.

A break had also be done, beside, it was very interesting to have a look on the hustle and bustle of the offroad-vehicles. There you can see everything: small and huge jeeps, normal cars, unimogs and so on.Unbelievable, who & what was driven there...

And here once again: switchbacks all over, covered with the "finest" gravel.
